History of Cecon Global and Founder Brandon (Brad) Bennett
Cecon Global was forged from a deep commitment to an industry that’s been my home for nearly 20 years.
In the early 2000s, I started a small waste hauling business in Charlotte, NC, with one truck and a handful of containers. By 2009, unable to bear landfill costs, I was sorting waste alone on a concrete pad in Charlotte’s inner city, working nights to separate cans, metals, and wood, finding markets for each to keep the business afloat.
As a wise man once said, “The free market will focus your mind.” In 2011, driven by a passion to repurpose waste, I shifted my focus to wood waste management, taking a risk by investing in equipment to process pallets into mulch. That year, I secured a pivotal deal with a local greenhouse to supply thousands of tons of processed material, sparking the growth of my company, Novem Industries.
Over the next decade, Novem became a leading supplier of wood chips in the Southeast, serving major mulch producers and other industries. In 2022, EGGER Timberpak acquired Novem Industries, a testament to the team’s dedication and innovative spirit.
Cecon Global rose from those lessons of grit and ingenuity.
I founded this company to share the wisdom gained through struggle, helping businesses navigate the circular economy with confidence. I give all glory to Jesus Christ, and I could have done none of it without the love and support from my wife and my three beautiful daughters. To the team
